Introduction

Large experienced companies in the car industry are producing two super cars. The massive, most expensive 16 cylinder Veyron is produced by the Bugatti Company and the powerful 911 Turbo is from the Porsche Company. Due to the people’s opinions and arguments and because both cars are desirable, I would like to express my ideas on both cars in this essay. The essay will initially provide main specifications for both cars; next it will discuss the similarities between them; then the differences will be discussed and finally my conclusion with my personal opinion will be provided.

Similarities

Despite the price difference between both cars, they both have compatible similarities. Both cars are on top of the line in the super cars group and both of them are AWD drive. Both cars have back-based engines. Both cars aspirations are Turbo. Both cars are 2-door cars including a gorgeous interior. In addition to the complicated engineering dynamics both cars have a strong stability and road holding providing you with a smooth ride at high speeds.

Differences

From the specifications above, we can note that the Bugatti Veyron value is more than 10 times the value of the 911 turbo. The Veyron engine size is 8 liters with 4 turbochargers and that is more than two times the engine size of its rival with a single turbocharger. On the performance side, the Porsche engine produces 500 hp@6000 rpm while the Veyron produces 1001 hp@6000 rpm which is double the power produced by the 911. Both cars' acceleration is stunning; the “Veyron performs 0-62 in just 2.8 seconds and achieves a top speed of 253 mph”( www.veyronbugatti.com) while the “Porsche performs it in 3.6 seconds and reaches a limit of 194 mph”.

Conclusion

If I were given the priority to choose one of these super cars I would rather choose the Porsche for some reasons. In my point of view, I would prefer to have a fast and a daily use car instead of having a faster car with less usage ability. On the other hand comes the expenses; the Porsche consumes much less fuel than the Bugatti(www.leftlanenews.com/bugatti-veyron-16.4.html)due to the engine capacity difference, as well as the unexpected spare parts cost for both cars and the Bugatti is much more surely. And finally, our country’s atmosphere is not the appropriate area for using the Bugatti monster.

Reading Summary Assessment

Summary

A disturbing situation is facing China where one woman commits suicide every four minutes. As estimated 150,000 women commit suicide every year and the majority of them do so in rural areas due to the availability of poisons in their areas. Xu Rong, head of the suicide prevention project is looking after such situations. More than 70% of suicides are caused by arranged marriage where women are forced to marry. Divorce is an excluded solution for them because it affects the financial security of the family so they attempt suicide in order to escape from their hard circumstances and to reflect their distressing feelings for people. As a result, the number of women will decrease gradually in China and there will be not enough women to men ratio that will lead to abduction and prostitution. Xu Rong is determining the future of China’s women by arranging courses such as cooking, marriage laws and other personal life experiences to provide them with self-confidence.

Main Idea

The article is drawing the attention to suicide attempts by Chinese women. An approximate number of 150,000 Chinese women commit suicide every year mostly in rural areas due to bad marriage environment and lack of learning so they decide to commit suicide in order to gain some dignity and to reflect their sense of anger.

Opinion

In my point of view, women nowadays are holding important positions world wide and achieving goals which a minority of men could achieve. I am sorry to hear that the world is losing 150,000 women due to distressful life situations. If China solves this problem and provides jobs for those young women, the economy will be improved as well as life experience for those women.
